What time is it, Mr Wolf?

Este é um jogo. Como se joga? Um aluno é um WOLF e os restantes vão para uma linha de partida. Estes perguntam ao WOLF "what time is it, Mr Wolf?". Este responde, por exemplo, "It's three o'clock". Os alunos,em simultâneo, dão 3 passos. Quando estiverem perto do Wolf e voltarem a perguntar "what time is it, Mr Wolf?", este diz "It's dinner time". Assim que o diz, os alunos fogem. O Wolf tem que os caçar (basta tocar). Ganha o aluno que não for caçado.

No infantário...

Apesar de já não estar no seu melhor estado, este cubo/dado permite fazer brincadeiras com cores e números. Cada face tem uma cor e um número diferente de desenhos. As crianças têm de dizer a cor e contar.

Este é o jogo da memória com as cores. Dá para fazer com muitos outros temas e também podemos jogar ao "GO FISH".

Como nos anos anteriores, continuo a colocar imagens nos lápis de cor. Além de dizermos "hello, cat", "hello, dog"... as crianças brincam muito como se fossem fantoches e usam a língua inglesa! Com os meus alunos tem dado muito resultado e noto que as crianças memorizam melhor as palavras quando brincam com as imagens.

Hot Potato

Players form a circle.
A bean bag is passed from player to player while one player sings, whistles or claps. When the music or clapping stops, the player who has the bean bag is out and sits in the center. The last one out wins. Stops should be made frequently so the game moves quickly and players will not be out for
a long period.



Green light, red light

Two lines are established at opposite ends of the playing area.
One line is the goal line; the other is the starting line. One player is
"It" and stands on the goal line.
"It" shuts his eyes and counts to 10 a number of times. At the end of the count to 10, he calls out, "Green light" or any other color light. While he is counting, the players advance toward the goal line. When "It" calls "Red light," he opens his eyes and all of the players & must stop moving. Any player who "It" catches in motion must return to the starting line. Players can continue moving if any color other than "Red light" is called. The suspense of the game occurs as the players wonder what color will be called. The first player to reach the goal wins. The last one is "It"
for the next game.

Colours Game

Play a team game. Divide pupils into colour teams: green, yellow, orange, red, blue...Tell teams to find things in their colour.They should choose one pupil from each team to collect the objects. Set a time limit of 1 min. The team with most items in the correct colour wins.

Air drawing

Demonstrate this game first. Draw an animal in the air with your index finger. The students watch carefully and try to guess which animal it is, e.g. Is it a (whale)? The first student to guess correctly then takes a turn at the front to draw an animal for the other students to guess.

Read my lips

Choose several words or sentences and review them with your students. Then the teacher mouths one of the words or sentences without sound. The teacher asks the students What am I saying? The students try to guess the word/sentence. Then have students take turns standing at the front of the room and mouthing words/sentences for the rest of the class to guess.

Flashcard Fun

Hold up a flashcard and elicit the answer from a S. Ss can win the flashcard if they answer correctly. The S with the most flashcards at the end is the winner.

Line True or False

Put a line of tape on the floor and designate one side "True" and the other "False". Hold up a flashcard or object and say its word. If Ss think the you have said the correct word they jump on the True side, if not they jump on the False side. Incorrect Ss sit out until the next game.

*Go round the class, giving each student an animal name LION,BIRD, DOG...Call out instructions for each animal: Lions, stand up;Birds, clap your hands, Dogs, touch your nose...

*Using the flashcards, revise two topics (animals and body). Show flashcards and go through the words with class. Then divide the class in 2 groups and ask each group to say as many words as they can remember from one topic. Give the teams one point for each correct word.Give two points if they say more complete sentences, e.g. It's a yellow bird.
